NHS – Queen’s Hospital Burton & Florence Nightingale Community Hospital

Mawgreen Ltd delivered a major multi-site solar PV installation for Vital Energi across the Derby & Burton NHS Trust, spanning both Queen’s Hospital Burton and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.

The project involved the installation of approximately 2,100 solar panels across multiple buildings, creating a large-scale renewable energy system with around 1MW of solar generation capacity across the estate.

Working within live healthcare environments required careful planning, coordination, and strict adherence to health and safety procedures throughout every phase of the installation. The completed system now supports the Trust’s wider sustainability goals by helping to reduce energy costs and lower carbon emissions across both hospital sites.
